Students were asked to review the teacher technology standards for Maryland (MTTS) and the NETS-T posted at the ISTE organization's website. In addition, students were asked to explore the Maryland State Department of Education website (http://www.mdk12.org) on which the Maryland State Voluntary Curriculum (VSC) for grades PK - 12 are posted.
The students then had to create a computer-generated avatar using the Voki program (http://www.voki.com) and upload an audio response to the question of the importance of teachers' being familiar with and applying the technology standards to their teaching and students' learning to their Voki.
